The gastroenterology field is extremely niche. This means that our target users are very specific and there very few of them as compared to many other markets. This translates into difficulty finding them using ad targeting, and since this is medtech, there is an additional challenge in convincing decision-makers to take the next step.
CDx Diagnostics turned to us to market WATS3D – a groundbreaking technology which helps gastroenterologists detect warning signs of esophageal cancer. Our challenge can be broken down into 3 parts.
Profiling our ideal lead and identifying them using Google & Bing targeting was the first part.
Next, we had to find the correct messaging that would pique the interest of qualified people in the field.
And finally, we would have to communicate in a way that would inspire enough trust for qualified leads to take the next step and fill out our lead form.

Our efforts for CDx focuses on Google Ads & Bing Ads (now referred to as Microsoft Advertising).
We targeted users who searched for keywords such as “Barrett’s Esophagus”, “GERD”, and other conditions which could lead to esophageal cancer.
We brought users to a landing page from which they can download more information about WATS, in exchange for contact information. Examples can be seen on the following slide.
